Macdonough Apartments

Macdonough Apartments

9800 SQ FT | Bedford Stuyvesant

MacDonough is multi-family building with a Beaux Arts inspired façade built in 1900.  Having suffered much deterioration, NADA took the challenge of restoring the building’s original details and inserting a contemporary redesign within the historic shell.  The apartments’ lofty 12 foot ceilings were emphasized with details like floating kitchen cabinets on a backdrop of stacked subway tiles, a bathroom feature mirror extending from counter to ceiling, and diagonally laid wide-plank white oak floors. The lobby features high gloss black molding and ceiling that mirror the bright white walls. Brass fixtures populate the building and further emphasis links between the new renovation and restored Beaux Arts charm.
